Dr Harris has a strong interest in providing expert medico-legal assessments. Such assessments frequently occur in the context of suspected acquired brain injury due to:

• motor vehicle accidents

• falls

• assaults

• exposure to chemicals and toxins

• hypoxia

Through clinical experience across a vast array of disorders that can affect the adult brain, commitment to current clinical practice and research methods, Dr Harris is ideally placed to offer comprehensive and well-directed medico-legal assessments for a variety of referral needs. 

Dr Harris's expertise is recognised by his inclusion on the panel of Independent Medical Examiners for both the TAC and WorkSafe. He regularly provides independent medico-legal reports for a wide variety of governmental bodies, insurance companies and plaintiff law firms.

Referrals for independent reports can be made directly or via one of the companies for which Dr Harris also consults (e.g. Lex Medicus, MLCOA, MLO, Medilaw).
